Some people are born into this city. Some people stumble upon it later, wondering how they ever lived anywhere else. Either way, a NYC elopement is the greatest celebration of this city and the people who have found love within it.

Photography Services & Packages | NYC City Hall & Micro Wedding Photographer

Your wedding photos should have that same depth, individuality, and intimacy.

Your experience in NYC is unlike anyone else’s. The path you take to work. Your favorite subway car. The place on the corner that you and your partner visit every Saturday morning. In a city of 8 million people, somehow it is still yours.

A lot like New York City.

Love looks different for everybody. For some people, it’s quiet mornings and cups of coffee. For others, it’s fireworks and karaoke at a rooftop bar. That’s the thing about love. It’s deeply personal and wildly unique.

You Bring The Love.
I Bring the Confetti.

— Nina & Lucas

+ organizing a natural-looking shoot in the surrounding area in a range of different settings. Many times, we felt like we had hired not just a photographer but also a de facto elopement planner. Throughout the process, she was a great communicator and told us everything we needed to know, helped us secure the best time for our various city hall appointments, gave us recommendations for hair/makeup/flower vendors, and even went above and beyond to find and secure us a balloon artist (!) for our bouquets.

"Sylvie is not only an amazing photographer, but she is a true pro at navigating the particular city hall process"

— Alex & Mike

Sylvie was amazing! Not only did her photos turn out incredible, but her familiarity with the NYC courthouse wedding process was so helpful to us that in hindsight we don't know what we would have done without her! In our initial consultation, she gave us so much more information and context about the process than we were expecting, and it really helped us paint a vision of the day in our mind. Even leading up to our series of appointments, she was regularly in contact with us and always helpful! On the day of the actual wedding, she made us feel at-ease and comfortable (especially considering we didn't have much experience with professional photographers). 10/10 would recommend!!

"We don’t know what we would have done without her."

— Ali & Sam

We were lucky enough to have Sylvie photograph our city hall ceremony on one of the rainiest days of the summer! From the very start of the inquiry process all the way to the receipt of our gallery, she is truly one of the most talented people in the industry. Not only is she an incredible photographer, but she is a magician of logistics. Sylvie makes it so simple to just understand the city hall process on her website, and then continues to ensure that everything inside the marriage bureau is seamless.

"She is truly one of the most talented people in the industry."

— Gabriella & Emil

We loved having Sylvie with us at our City Hall elopement in NYC. She is a talented, warm, and thoughtful photographer -- even my partner, who is very camera shy, felt at ease with her. Perhaps equally important is her deep familiarity with the process of getting married at City Hall -- she became a de facto wedding planner, answered all of our questions, sent us checklists, and ensured we showed up where we were supposed to be on time. I didn't have to think about anything; I just smiled and followed Sylvie's lead, which made the day fun, stress-free, and spontaneous. And now we have so many memorable photographs to choose from (even one of us through a subway car window!) Couldn't recommend her enough!

"I didn’t have to think about anything; I just showed up and followed Sylvie’s lead."

— Shivani & Alex

A testament to how comfortable Sylvie made us feel. We worked with her for a City Hall elopement, and her guidance throughout the process was invaluable. I truly felt like all I had to do was follow Sylvie’s instructions. I love how every photo turned out, and we will truly look at them for the rest of our lives! Endlessly grateful for Sylvie!!

"I am such a camera shy person, but you would never know from the photos."

City Hall. Your Living Room. Central Park. A Hotel Balcony. A Brooklyn Stoop. Your Favorite Restaurant. A Nearby Dive Bar. An Empty Subway Car.

Rain or shine, your photos will capture your story, your joy, your style, and ultimately, your love. That’s the point of wedding photos, anyway, right? Not to be perfect, but to document the emotion and ephemeral feeling of your day.

These are some of my most treasured photographs of my life and I feel so lucky that she was the one to capture it all for us. Every photo we received encapsulates the emotion of that day - joy, beauty, happiness and genuine admiration for one another. Even though it started to rain down as we arrived at city hall, she made what could’ve been a cruddy, wet day a truly fun, happy, bright day for us. We are forever grateful for Sylvie and her beautiful work - I hope I have another special event to hire her for!! Thank you, Sylvie!

Sylvie was such a joy to work with. Not only is she a PHENOMENAL photographer, she also helped us navigate the entire NYC courthouse elopement process. She saw and executed my vision for my photographs…and boy did she deliver!!. I’m beyond happy with how the photographs turned out and Sylvie’s professionalism. "THE SHOOT FELT MORE LIKE HANGING OUT WITH A FRIEND RATHER THAN A STUFFY PHOTOSHOOT WITH A RANDOM STRANGER"

— Abby & Alex

My wife and I could not be happier with the quality of the photos that Sylvie took, the vast knowledge she brought and the overall enthusiasm and dedication she gave to us. We are both people who aren't usually in front of the camera, but we felt so instantly comfortable with Sylvie. Could not recommend her highly enough.

"WE FELT SO INSTANTLY COMFORTABLE WITH SYLVIE."

— Sammy & Jon

She was exactly the kind of photographer we were looking for, for our City Hall elopement - laid back, friendly, fun, easy to work with, but still super organized and on top of LITERALLY everything. My husband and I were nervous about being awkward in front of the camera since we’d never had professional photos shot before, but Sylvie was a natural with us. She guided us without judgement and captured the perfect images, without anything feeling forced or robotic. On top of all this, she is super well known by the employees at City Hall, who all seem to love her and her efficiency - huge green flag! All in all, we couldn’t be happier with our photos, our experience and our day with Sylvie. We will always recommend her to anyone looking to elope in NYC!

"SYLVIE WAS A DREAM TO WORK WITH!"

— Shivani & Alex

Sylvie is absolutely amazing! We worked with her for a City Hall elopement, and her guidance throughout the process was invaluable. I truly felt like all I had to do was follow Sylvie’s instructions and getting an appt would work out. Most importantly, we cannot thank her enough for how the wedding day itself went. She guided us through multiple photo locations and family photos with such expertise, and the photos are unbelievable! I am such a camera shy person, but you would never know from the photos - a testament to how comfortable Sylvie made us feel. I love how every photo turned out, and we will truly look at them for the rest of our lives!

"ENDLESSLY GRATEFUL FOR SYLVIE."

— Meredith & Carson

I worked with Sylvie for my elopement this past June, and genuinely cannot recommend her highly enough!! She knows her way around city hall (the employees literally recognize her) so logistics are a breeze, she's so friendly and makes everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera, and the ideas she has for photos and locations are unbeatable!

"SYLVIE MADE THE EXPERIENCE THE MOST SPECIAL AND BEAUTIFUL DAY."

How far in advance should we book with you?

One of the best things about City Hall weddings and elopements in general is that you don’t need to spend a year+ planning! Most of my couples book me within three to six months of their wedding, but I’ve shot many celebrations on an even tighter timeline! If you’re getting married soon, feel free to reach out and see if your date is available. Keep in mind that Fridays are the first to fill up.

What if we’re not from New York?

This city is for everyone! If you want to travel to NYC for your wedding, I’d love to celebrate with you and help you plan a photo tour of the city that highlights all the best parts.

Do you only shoot elopements and City Hall weddings?

I specialize in NYC City Hall wedding photography, but I don’t stop there! If you’re looking for a photographer for a slightly larger wedding, I would love to learn about your vision and see if I’m a good fit for you! I only shoot micro weddings with 50 or fewer guests.

How many photos can we expect to receive?

I don’t guarantee a select number of photos, since that can vary greatly between each wedding and the collection you build! But a good rule of thumb is between 60 and 80 images per hour.

What’s your photography style like?

I’m all about keeping things natural and easy. I’m not interested in forced smiles or uncomfortable poses. My job is to document the emotion of the day, and the best way to do that is to let you be fully present. That being said, I’m always here to direct you and show you some organic poses to help you feel confident in front of the camera.

I have shot over 200 NYC City Hall elopements and micro weddings since I started photographing weddings in 2010. I’m at City Hall so often that I’m on a first-name basis with some of the clerks (and trust me, they’re lovely people—especially when you know exactly how they work so you can prep the papers the way they like them)!

Getting married in New York can be complicated, so I will walk you through every step of the process, from how to book your ceremony appointment to the paperwork you need.

How many weddings have you shot at City Hall? Are you familiar with the process?
