I'm a photographer and bright color enthusiast based in New York City.

When shooting events, I’m adamant about getting the timeless portraits you’ll want on your mantel, in addition to those fly-on-the-wall, candid moments of joy that no one can plan for. No matter what the occasion, you’ll emerge with photos that look great and feel like you — perhaps with a bit more confetti.

Posing for the camera tends to make many of us freeze up and feel a bit awkward — so I take the time to make sure all of my clients feel at ease and, most importantly, have fun. In a past life, I spent nearly a decade working at a literary agency, and I’m proud to specialize in author portraits, as well as city hall elopements, intimate city weddings, and of course incorporating cats into shoots whenever possible.

During my downtime, you can find me rehearsing with my family band, Doctor Uke and Daughters (formerly known as Pride and Joy and Dad), sitting in on my monthly book club (I’m the unofficial photographer), or spending time with my polydactyl pixie-bob, Icarus. I’m a big fan of the movie Best in Show, using Twizzlers as straws, Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey, shooting City Hall elopements, and that aforementioned biodegradable confetti. (I usually manage to combine those last two things pretty dazzlingly, if I do say so myself.)
